A Chinese business delegation is in Sri Lanka to explore investment opportunities between both countries, Sri Lanka’s trade chamber said on Tuesday.
The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce said that an 18 member business delegation from China organized by the “Belt & Road International Production Capacity Cooperation Promotion Centre”, Beijing is in Sri Lanka to promote business and investment between Sri Lanka and China.
In order to facilitate the high level official business delegation to meet the business community in Sri Lanka, the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce in association with the Sri Lanka – China Business Council organised a Business Interactive Session in Colombo this week.
The interactive session was attended by Eran Wickramaratne, State Minister of Finance and Mass Media.
According to the statistics released by China’s National Bureau of Statistics, China’s GDP growth rate in the first half of 2018 reached 6.8%.
The national economy sustained the momentum of steady and sound development with its inner stability and coordination strengthened, outstanding achievements in transformation and upgrading, new growth drivers thriving and the quality and performance improving steadily.
